9th Grade Shield Assignment

I want you to make a shield that symbolizes what kind of person you want to be in the future.

Here is a website that can help you with ideas about what pictures and colors your shiled will have on it. On the left hand side is a column of colors and symbols, and on the right hand side is their traditional meaning.

A long time ago, knights used to have shields with these symbols on them and each of those symbols had a specific meaning.

In addition to making the shield, I want you to write a one page explanation of your shield. In this composition, you must talk about the significance of every aspect of your shield, ranging from the colors you chose to the symbols you chose. This composition should be written as a short essay and it should be typed in 12 point font and be double spaced.
