Homework for 9A
BY MONDAY: Have the comprehension questions and summary of 'The Night the Bed Fell' copied from the Internet. We will be recording our grades on Monday for this assignment.
Read 'The Day is Done' on 282 and do the comprehension questions for the poem.
BY TUESDAY: Read 'A Spark Neglected Burns the House' on p.273
BY THURSDAY:
You must turn in a typed, single spaced, 12 point font, 2-3 page story that is a retelling of 'Pride and Prejudice." In this creative writing assignment, you must retell the story using an entirely different MOOD (so it can't be romantic) OR you must retell the story from the perspective of a different character within the story, i.e. tell the story from Mr. Darcy's point of view. Because this story is only 2-3 pages long, only focus on a key moment within the movie and re-write that moment. Do not re-write the entire story because it will be too long.
The names of the characters should remain the same- so make sure you have the details of the story done correctly!
You must also have the comprehension questions for 'A Spark Neglected' finished and ready to be graded.
CHUSEOK HOMEWORK: DUE 10/6: You must read pages 345-383 of 'The Story of King Arthur and His Knights"
9B HOMEWORK
BY TUESDAY: Have the comprehension questions and summary of 'The Night the Bed Fell' copied into your notes and read 'The Day is Done' on p. 282 and do the comprehension questions.
BY WEDNESDAY: Read 'A Spark Neglected Burns the House" on p. 273 of your textbook.
BY THURSDAY: Have the comprehension questions for "A Spark Neglected" finished and turn in your creative writing assignment.
You must write a 2-3 page, single spaced, 12 point font creative story that retells the story of "Pride and Prejudice." Your creative story must either change the mood of the story (so it can no longer be romantic) OR you can retell the story from the perspective of another character within the story, i.e. tell the story from Mr. Darcy's point of view. Because this story can only be 2-3 pages long, do not retell the entire story-- instead, focus on a key moment within the story and re-tell that. Also, make sure that you have all the correct details of the story-- do not have the names of the characters misspelled and do not misspell the names of the places in the story either!
