Vacation Homework Assignments

9th Grade (now 10th grade)- For your vacation homework, I want you to write a 4-5 page double spaced story that has one of the themes that we discussed last year. This means that you can write a story with the theme of courage, humility, temperance, love, joy, peace, nobility, or beauty. You can either make a story that is completely your own, or you can write a sequel to one of the stories that we already read. We will be reading these stories out loud in the first week of class, so make sure you have them finished on time! If you have any questions, email me!

10th Grade (now 11th grade)- For your vacation homework, I want you to write a 4-5 page double spaced story that contains one of the themes that was in either Oedipus Rex or Antigone. To remind you: the dominant themes within these plays were pride, truth, following God's laws or man's laws, tyranny, the position of women in society, fate, etc. These stories will be due the first week of class.
